Adults are always asking little kids what they want to be when they grow up because they’re looking for ideas.”  Paula Poundstone
The last few weeks have been at Mach 1 with my hair on fire.  The time has been spent learning a brand new product line, and traveling to meet new and prospective dealers.  Recently I have seen some really well designed bicycle retail spaces.  The attention to detail is excellent, for example, check out the “Bouquet” of flowers above. I also dug this…
The E is actually a stoplight but my phone didnt take a great picture.

There are people turning funky spaces into great retail.  There are also some people who have their eye on customer service.  I am seeing the future of Bicycle Retail and the future is good.

While in D.C. this week I got a chance to try out the newest addition to my demo fleet.  She is a sweet ride.
This is gonna get me ready for some cross racing.  After running every day for an hour and a half last week teaching a young man to ride a two wheeler, I have more confidence that my legs won’t cave when I have to skip over barriers.  Yes, I said skip.  That is an indication of how serious I intend to take this so-called racing season.  I’m gonna be in this more for fun than winning.
That and the post race beer.
