As a fan of bicycle racing it was a pleasure to read that Gianna Roberge is running a women’s cycling team again. I met Gianna when she was with the Timex women’s team and ran into her several times after. She was always a cool person to talk to and I know her riders respected her. Team Peanut Butter & Co.TWENTY12 has already been successful and with Gianna’s guidance LOOK OUT!
In somewhat related director news Philadelphiaish dweller Bobby Julich accepted a job with Team Sky as a coach. This further adds to the mass exodus from Bjarne Riis’s Saxo Bank squad. Any insiders wanna email me the real story there? I am more than interested.
Titus Bicycles has been put on the chopping block. Following a personnel purging that has been happening for months the brand is up for auction. They are looking to move quick. They want the whole deal done by next Friday November 19th. Anybody wanna go in together and buy a mountain bike company? And by go in together I mean you need to finance it. My mediocre looks and mid pack riding expertise isn’t very enticing to the banker types of the world.
Exciting hipster news is happening on the other side of the pond. Red Bull is bringing a “Mini Velodrome” to London for a competition/exhibition.
Get your sister’s jeans on and get ready to ride in circles
Time to go charge head first into the weekend and live like a 6 year old. Snagged this link from that NJ Freerider Jeff Lenosky. This kid is a double serving of “wicked good”
Wow 6? Go try to live life with as much passion as that kid. I double dog dare ya!
